The WF Waters Lodge is managed by the Baw Baw Rover Crew, a subcommittee of the Victorian Rover Council, the controlling body of Rover Scouting in Victoria. The Crew is made up Rover Scouts who are committed to the development of the Lodge, with support from former Rovers who have chosen to remain active in the management of the Lodge. The Crew is also supported by an appointed Rover Advisor.
Rover Scouts are young men and women aged between 18 to 25 and members of Scouts Victoria. Victorian Rovers develop our members through ways that would otherwise not be easily available, such as running a ski lodge. A Rover Advisor is an older person, generally more than 30 years old, who is there to help the Rovers in achieving their goals.
Scouts Victoria is a part of Scouts Australia, one of almost 200 members of the World Organisation of the Scout Movement. With 16,000 youth members supported by over 4,000 adult leaders and supporters across the State, the movement’s aim is to encourage the development of young people as resilient, self-confident and responsible citizens.
